I am an artist and a huge art lover! Whenever I have the opportunity to get to a gallery or art show, I jump at the chance. I love art. That’s just how it is!

Over the summer, I was super excited to get tickets to a street artist show that opened during the week of the Lollapalooza Music Festival. Art Alliance presented The Provocateurs at Block 37 from July 31 a to August 4, 2014, curated by Shepard Fairey. This thoroughly hip art show was jam packed with over 40 internationally acclaimed artists that are pushing the envelope and trailblazing through the art world making strong political and social statements through their crafts.

This was from a typical art show, believe me. The artists combined their processes with music, public art, local community interest, education, and charities to create experimental and interactive masterpieces. The Provocateurs teamed up with Lollapalooza, finding artists that coincide with the musicians who rock the festival stages yearly in an effort to bring art, specifically street art, to new and broader audiences.

I am so excited that I found this great show and I really hope that Art Alliance and Lolla decide to do an annual street art show every year. I’ll definitely be the first one at the door!
